Today I received my Classical Conversations Challenge I guide! The day I get the guide is the day I can begin planning. I looked at the “semester snapshot” section, which gives you an overview of the entire year, and it looks amazing. Challenge I is jam packed with good, meaty content.
I’ve heard from many CC Challenge I graduates that there’s going to be too much work this year. Classical Conversations makes Challenge I pretty much impossible to do completely, so I’m prepared to scale subjects down and make time for myself. For one, there are over 20 novels and countless articles, poems, and short stories to read.
It’s a really good idea to familiarize yourself with your guide once you get it. Figure out how it works, read the tips included, and know what you’re going to be learning this year. For me, it’s quite helpful to know that this year’s content is not some strange nebulous concept that you can only get once it’s over.
I was thrilled to find out that week 13 of the second semester includes a comparison essay between one of our novels and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi! For those who don’t me, I’m a die-hard Star Wars fan.
Stay tuned! I’m really excited for this year!
